NewVision platform is the digital experience of Uganda's Leading News Publication (The New Vision)
This release features native iOS capabilities to enrich the user experience such as : -
- Text to speech reading to enable people like the visually impaired to still listen to the news.
- The sharing of articles is by use of deep-linking technology such that an external user at any point can click on the link and have a direct reference to the article on the app.
- The push notification feature will keep the user informed of breaking news and relevant news that a user chooses as part of their interests or journalists they choose to follow.
- Offline reading capability is by default and at any point, a user loses an internet connection they can still read articles they previously opened while they had the connection.
This release has been made to offer New Vision readers a richer user experience with timely news updates through phone notifications tailored to a user's interests and authors they choose to follow from the iOS platform.
